ORGANIZATION OF CONFERENCES AND RESEARCH: He organized or co-organized a number of national and international conferences. He was a member of over 60 steering/program and organizational committees in the field of rough sets,
concurrency, data mining, including CS&P, DATA, IJCRS, ISDA, ISMIS, PReMI, RSFDGrC, RSKT. Member of the Editorial Board of the international scientific journal "LNCS Transactions in Rough
Sets" (since 2003, Springer-Verlag, Berlin) and the International Advisory Council in the International Journal of Rough Sets and Data Analysis. He is a co-editor of the monograph Rough Computing:
Theories, Technologies and Applications, IGI Global, Hershey - New York 2007. An active participant of over 150 national and international conferences. Leader of 11 proprietary research projects
funded by the Committee for Scientific Research (currently the Ministry of Science and Higher Education), contractor of 8 projects implemented in other institutions in the country and abroad
(including Polish Academy of Sciences, University of Warsaw, University of Wrocław, University of Manitoba) and the implementer of the European Union research project. Head of 3 promoter projects
